Feature Field Cache

Damian Maguire <DMaguire@...>

Afternoon all,

Following a few weeks of testing and some feedback from the community, we've decided to merge the field cache code into the next branch in advance of the 2.3.1 release. There are a few outstanding tasks associated with the cache code, which are actively being worked on, but we felt it would be better to allow the wider community to get their hands on it and test it out in a wider selection of use cases.

For the 2.3.1 release this will be considered a beta feature, so the usual caveats around bugs and testing apply there. However, we hope this will be close to the final code for the feature.

As always, if anyone has any questions please let me know.

Cheers,

Damian
